General Tyre starts production

The General Tyre and Rubber Company of Pakistan Ltd. has recently announced that it has resumed the production of tyres after its labor union has called off the strike.

The company had faced a complete shut-down of activities for three weeks, and now it will try its level best to win back the customer confidence, and get back on the track after suffering big losses.

As per a press report, “General Tyre has confidence in its workers and said that it could meet the tightest deadlines and growing market demands. The Management and the workers will now go all out to pull the Company out of crisis and will not let their differences hamper the progress of the Company.”

Meanwhile, the company has spent almost Rs 1250 million in the last four years in the plant to modify its facilities to increase the production of quality tyres. Moreover, the company has also strengthened its farm tyre production by commissioning new tools.

The General Tyre and Rubber Company of Pakistan Ltd, which was opened in 1963, is the largest manufacturer of tyres in Pakistan involved in the manufacture and marketing of a complete range of tyres and tubes for cars, vans, jeeps, pickups, buses, trucks and farm tyres.

General Tyre has also projecting into the international market in the last few years and has been exporting tyres to the Middle East on a regular basis.
