The Government has established a Driver and Vehicle Agency's 'prompted choice' system under which the applicants will either have to sign up the Organ Donor Register or to select an option which sates that they do not wish to answer the question.
The system allows the applicants to skip the question.
It is hoped that a higher number of people will sign up the Organ Donor Register.
Nearly 27% of the UK population has yet signed up the donor register where as up to 90% are in favor of donation system.
According to NHS Blood and Transplant, there were number of people who had received a transplant in 2010, with more than 6900 organs and cornea transplant carried out.
Instead this, there is still 10,000 people who need the organ transplant in the UK and 1,000 a year die before they receive one.
Many people in the UK are happy after donating their organs for transplant but have not got their name register.
Anne Milton, the Public Health Minister, said, "Being an organ donor is a truly selfless act and is the ultimate gift anyone can give. I would like to see all those people who are happy to donate their organs to sign up."
