Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced that it has successfully signed an Extended Well Text (EWT) Gas Sales and Purchase Agreement (EWT-GSPA) with Hycarbex-American Energy Inc. (HAE).

According to the note issued by the SSGC, Hycarbex, the leaders of the field, will supply up to 28 million cubic feet per day of gas for 15 months from the Haseeb Gas Field.

It has been anticipated that the gas delivery will start its working by the end of December 2009, or early January next year.

The deal was signed by the SSGC Managing Director Umair Khan and HAE President Dr. Iftikhar A Zahid. Government Holdings Managing Director Raja Irfan Nasr also signed the deal on behalf of the company, which had already expressed its interest in the field. The agreement is the outcome of long talks between SSGC and HAE and has been sanctioned by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority.

Meanwhile, HAE is a co-worker and operator of the Petroleum Concession Agreement with respect to the Yasin Block along with Government Holding (Pvt) Ltd and Hypak Asia (Pvt) Ltd.

Haseeb Gas Field is placed 4-5 Km from SSGC’s Shikarpur Compressor Station within the Yasin Block where further exploration for oil and gas reserves is being undertaken by HAE.
